Delete it now: Joker trojan detected in two mobile apps!

With the huge development in the world of mobile devices, malware that endangers user security has also begun to appear in this field.

In particular, hundreds of virus-containing applications have recently been removed from the Google Play Store. At this point, the most striking detail was that the apps in question somehow managed to escape the firewall and were uploaded to the app stores.

A new one was added to those recently. Two applications containing viruses that capture users’ personal information have been removed from the Google Play Store.

Due to the increase in such incidents, various app stores have been vetted by companies like Kaspersky in order to keep user security at the highest level. In this trend, apps found to be malicious are first reported to Google, and users are then warned that they may be installed before.

Recently, Kaspersky malware analyst Tatyana Shishkova announced on Twitter that she had discovered two apps in the Google Play Store that contain the Joker trojan. This time, Joker trojan, which steals SMS, contact lists and device information by infiltrating users’ devices with apps such as fitness, music player, keyboard, fortune reading, QR code and wallpaper, was not surprised this time. Hidden within the background and keyboard apps, each with over 1,000 downloads.

The following are two apps containing the Joker trojan that were recently detected:

Interestingly, there was no interference with the background app, while Kaspersky removed the keyboard app right after connecting to Google. So, it is still available for download in the App Store. For this reason, if you downloaded the software that we presented above, delete it immediately and do not download the application that has not been removed from the store.
