The new OnePlus 9 RT is the first phone running Android 12
After several rumors and the company’s position that this year there will be no new OnePlus T series, the OnePlus 9 RT arrives. However, this high-end device is a step below the OnePlus 9, so it doesn’t follow the line of the T family, which has been the brand’s most advanced smartphones year after year.
One of the main attractions of this device is that it is officially the first in the world with Android 12 from the factory, so it could also be the first phone in the market with the official version of Android 12 even before Google, if the Google Pixel 6 has not been put on sale before.
The good news of owning an Android 12 phone from OnePlus is that this device will have to update to at least Android 14, although OnePlus mentioned that one of the advantages of integrating with OPPO is the ability to offer faster OS updates for 3 years.

The differences between this new model and the previous OnePlus 9 are not many, the first of which is in the camera, where the ultra-wide angle ranges from 50 megapixels in the OnePlus 9 to 16 megapixels in the OnePlus 9 RT. On the other hand, this new phone is not capable of recording in 8K resolution either.
Despite the fact that both phones have 65W fast charging, the OnePlus 9 RT does not include wireless charging support.
At the moment, the phone is exclusively in China at 3299 yuan for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which is about 513 USD at the exchange rate and without considering taxes.
