The ranking of the new smartphones with the best screen, according to DxOMark
Although the user experience you can get with a phone is beyond benchmarks and numbers, many users tend to base their buying decision on famous direct comparisons with accurate results that rank the different phones currently on the market from best to worst.
One of the companies that specializes in doing this kind of phone comparison and analysis is DxOMark, a French company that started analyzing phone cameras, but now also offers different ratings for the screen, audio, front camera and battery.
According to the company, its screen quality tests are not only based on panel quality, but also tests that put light sensors in extreme situations to recreate scenes from the real world. It also uses advanced machines that measure the response, accuracy and smoothness of touch.
Last but not least, DxOMark also has experts evaluating the viewing experience, which is performed multiple times by different engineers to avoid biasing one phone against another.
Based on these tests, our ranking of phones with the best screen so far are:
- iPhone 13 Pro Max / 13 Pro – 99 points –
- iPhone 13/13 mini – 93 points-
- Huawei P50 Pro – 93 points-
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G – 91 points-
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (with Snapdragon) – 90 points-
- OnePlus 9 Pro – 89 points-

- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (with Exynos) – 89 points-
- TCL 20 Pro 5G – 89 points-

Remarkably, all the phones released by Apple this year appear in the DxOMark ranking, as no other company has succeeded in placing all of its high-end phones on the platform. However, Samsung is the second manufacturer that put most of the devices in the best screen category.
